Mauricio Betancur, Assistant City Clerk

Mauricio Betancur joined the Office of the City Clerk in 2005 as Administrative Coordinator I. In 2007 he was promoted to Administrative Coordinator II. Mauricio began his tenure with the City as a Permit Clerk in the Building Department.

Prior to Sunny Isles Beach, Mauricio served as a Bailiff for Miami-Dade County. His responsibilities included ensuring proper decorum was maintained in the courtroom and assisting the public with questions and concerns regarding courtroom hearings and trial procedures.

Mauricio, a native New Yorker, moved to Florida in 1995. Mauricio is married and is pursing an Associates at Miami-Dade College. His professional memberships include International Institute of Municipal Clerks, Florida Association of City Clerks, Miami-Dade County Municipal Clerks Association, and Florida Records Management
