City and Police Department Host
Holiday Luncheon and Employee Awards…
By Chief Fred Maas, Interim City Manager

Chief Fred Maas, Interim City ManagerOne of the best aspects of this job is the end of the year recognition that is given to employees who excelled or perform beyond expectation. This year, a combined gathering of police and city employee’s, hosted by the City Commission, City Manager’s Office and Christine Lee’s restaurant set the stage for those such special awards.

Employees who dedicate and devote themselves all year long in service to the City and Community were treated to a fabulous buffet lunch hosted by Christine Lee’s World Famous Restaurant. The staff and owner Mary Lee, went all out to insure a very special presentation.

The day was complete with raffle giveaways, in house entertainment by the Public Works Department singers, a guest appearance by Katherine Alexander, resident of Sunny Isles Beach and unbelievable vocalist who has appeared at several City grand openings and functions. But the highlight of the day was the annual awards presentation to the employees of the year for both the police department and city hall. And the winners were:
