Trump/Dezer Development Cements Foundation of Trump Royale
Story and photo by Richard S. Schulman, City Historian

Richard S. Schulman, City Historian The first week of 2006 for the Trump/Dezer organization was marked by Gil Dezer commissioning the largest foundation concrete pour ever to occur in the Southeastern United States. The pour took place on January 7-8 at the future site of the 55-story Trump Royale, a $180 million dollar condominium in Sunny Isles Beach.

Coastal Construction Company was awarded the contract for the pour. A crew of 700 workers and 150 Rinker concrete trucks were used to complete the project. The foundation contained enough concrete to make a four-foot wide pathway from Miami to Atlanta. The foundation measures 138 ft x 270 ft x 11 ft deep.
