2007 Property Tax Exemption Filing Period
Tuesday, January 2 - Thursday, March 1

The Miami-Dade County Property Appraisal Department is currently receiving applications for property tax exemptions.

The deadline for property owners to submit applications is Thursday, March 1, 2007.

TIME: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Mondays - Fridays

DATES: January 8 - February 23, 2007

TIME: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Mondays - Fridays

SITE: North Dade Justice Center

15555 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami, FL 33160

*Offices will be closed on Monday, February 19, for Presidents’ Day.

You MUST HAVE all the necessary documents to file for these exemptions

HOMESTEAD

Pre-printed application or a recorded warranty deed.

Social security numbers must be submitted for all residing owners.

One (1) of the following proofs of Florida residence is required:

Must be issued prior to January 1st.

If you own a car:

• Florida driver's license

• Florida car registration

If you do not own and/or drive a car:

• Florida Voter's registration

• Prior year IRS return if filed from Florida or current W-2 Form

• SSA 1099 from the Social Security Administration

Note: Non-citizens must submit alien registration card.

If filing for trust a copy must be submitted.

SENIOR CITIZENS EXEMPTION

Current IRS Return and Income Statement.
