Bocce is popular in Sunny Isles Beach!

On Thursday, February 15th, the city held its second Bocce Tournament this season. We had an overwhelming response, with over 20 teams participating in the tournament. We had four courts going on simultaneously, and all teams played single elimination. In order to proceed in the competition, a team had to continue winning every game they played.

During the tournament, participants received a variety of gifts, including t-shirts, briefcase bags, and key chain pouches. In the final round, Team S (Marshall Cohen and Adele Fabrizio) played Team Q (Joe Bethel and Lucrecia Micali) for 1st place. Team S came out on top and Marshall and Adele both received a plaque from the city of Sunny Isles Beach.

We have one more tournament this season, on Thursday, March 15th, 2007. It will also take place at Senator Gwen Margolis Park from 2:00 – 5:00pm. If you are interested in participating (all participants receive a free gift), please call 305.792.1706 to reserve your spot today!
