Travel Today host Peter Greenberg with his nationally syndicated listener-interactive radio show travels around the world each week. Saturday, February 10, Peter broadcast live from the Acqualina, A Rosewood Resort at 17875 Collins Avenue. His guests were SIB Mayor Norman S. Edelcup; Seth Bramson, historian and author; and State Senator Gwen Margolis.

Mayor on the airIn his interview Mayor Edelcup shared with radio listeners his excitement about the redevelopment of Sunny Isles Beach. Since incorporation in 1997 luxury oceanfront condominiums are steadily replacing outdated motels. City is building parks, improving the infrastructure and laying the groundwork for future development.

Seth Bramson, the author of a new book "From Sandbar to Sophistication: The Story of Sunny Isles Beach," which will be published by The History Press early in March, in his interview to Greenberg, gave a brief capsule history of the area from the time of the arrival of its founder Harvey Baker Graves in 1918 through the present. Mr. Bramson also described his collection of “Miami Memorabilia and Floridiana.”
