City's website celebrates first anniversary

The city of Sunny Isles Beach's official website, www.sibfl.net, was launched on February 7, 2003. The website is a result of a cooperative effort between Miami-Dade County's award-winning Online Services Department for miami-dade.gov, and the city of Sunny Isles Beach, Administrative Services Department.

The website is a source of information for year-round residents as well as for part-time residents when they are here and when they are in other parts of the world.

Now on the website
In this past year we have added to www.sibfl.net information including the following:
Code of Ordinances Online - Keep up to date with local laws.
Agenda - Read the agenda before coming to a City Commission meeting.
Calendar - Check to see when there is a free concert, a trip scheduled to a cultural event, and the date of the next City Commission meeting.
Development - Print out a list of Existing & Planned Developments in the city.
City Maps - Check your property information using the interactive maps (GIS) to find the nearest beach access, bus stop, city park, etc. Find out what school district your property is in.

As we celebrate the first year of being online, here are some interesting facts about www.sibfl.net:
In the first year the number of pages on the website has increased by 519%.
The average number of visits per day in January 2004 was 236.
This is the average number of times the site was visited per day.
The number of unique visitors in January 2004 was 2,115.
This is the number of different visitors who visited the site.
The average length of a visit in January 2004 was 11 minutes 42 seconds.
