Good results - worthwhile work

It's the good results that make the work worthwhile.

Never thought I would get so excited about viewing a bus. Our new Sunny Isles Beach bus is luxury from the video screen to the soft, plush, comfortable seats and leaving the driving to someone else has its advantages.

Valentine's Day was celebrated at Gwen Margolis Park. The weather was perfect, the play, "The Girls from Building B" was a comedy. Everyone enjoyed being together and sharing a good laugh. Thanks to Susan Simpson and our staff for a job well done.

Input from our residents is important. Advisory committees are being formed through the mayor's advisory council. Each commissioner and the mayor appoint one person to each of the five committees and will be a liaison member of the committee.

Vice Mayor Goodman: Transportation & traffic

Mayor Edelcup: Long range planning & Inter Govt.

Commissioner Iglesias: Tourism & Development

Commissioner Thaler: Education Charter School

The mayor will select a chairperson of each committee.

City Hall is progressing rapidly. We look forward to its early completion. Our contractor, Weitz Company, is currently working on the flooring for the fourth and final floor of the building shell.
