I believe that the article on the "Process of Compromise" in the February 17th issue of the Sunny Isles newspaper did not give the right impression on a number of points.

The Commission was not in full agreement on the maximum height of the buildings on Sunny Isles Boulevard. I, for one, was not and voted against the resolution. I do not see why we should add another twenty feet for elevator shafts and mechanical supports. As stated, the building could go wider but it does not have to as the site plans will determine the width of building and the Commissioners have the final word.

As for the "density" issue, I disagreed with the allowing of 80 units per acre as against 60 units per acre. I believe more apartments equal more traffic. We have enough density with what has been approved on Collins Avenue and certainly enough traffic.
