New Branch Manager of Sunny Isles Beach Branch Library

There’s a new face at the Sunny Isles Beach Branch Library and she can’t wait to meet you! Sky V. King, is the new Branch Manager, she replaces Jennifer Dewsnap who was recently promoted to South Miami. King comes to Sunny Isles Beach with nearly five years of experience with the Miami-Dade Public Library System. Up until her move to Sunny Isles Beach, King was the Branch Manager for the California Club Branch.

King holds a master’s degree in library and information sciences from the University of South Florida in Tampa and a bachelor’s degree in psychology, from Austin Peay University in Clarkesville, Tennessee. King’s talents and philosophy of wanting to “provide excellent service everyday” are just some of the things you can look forward to you as she begins to get settled in on the job.

King started her new position on February 26 and her first order of business is to “continue providing a safe, comfortable and welcoming place to visit.” With a community made up of tourists and residents of all ages, she hopes to remain “flexible and responsive to the needs of all of the Sunny Isles Beach community.”

Keep your eye out for excellent quality entertaining and educational programming that focus on the interest of patrons. She also wants everyone to know that her “door remains open for suggestions and conversation on ways to provide the best service possible."
