City purchases land to enhance park

In a continued effort by the City Commission to provide residents with more parks, the City of Sunny Isles Beach recently purchased 10,000 square feet of land located at 500 Sunny Isles Beach Blvd., which is on the Intracoastal Waterway between the east and west bound lanes of the bridge on Sunny Isles Boulevard. This land is adjacent to City-leased property that is currently being developed into a park. The 26 parking spaces on the new parcel will enhance the park-like setting.
