formed GARDEN CLUB.
City seeks volunteers for Garden Club

The City of Sunny Isles Beach is seeking seven volunteers to serve as members of a Garden Club to come up with ideas for landscaping
areas in the City’s existing parks and medians to present to the City Commission.

The Garden Club, acting independently of the City Commission, would be expected to develop contacts with resources including city landscapers, Fairchild Tropical Gardens, and Universities with horticultural departments that specialize in the plantings throughout South Florida. Mayor Norman S. Edelcup is inviting members of the
Garden Club to survey the parks in the City and for example,
recommend areas for quiet solitude, and other areas for special
plantings.
