Susan Simpson On April 3, 2006 the city of Sunny Isles Beach, in coordination with Mount Sinai Medical Center, kicked off a free transportation program that provides Sunny Isles Beach residents with free transportation to and from Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach.

It was a festive occasion as Mayor Norman Edelcup, the force behind this service, cut the ribbon for the inaugural trip starting at Winston Towers 200 building at 7:30 a.m. In attendance with him from the city were Vice Mayor Roslyn Brezin and City Manager, John Szerlag.
