Sunny Isles Beach Soccer Team Plays Hard in Copa Coca Cola Tournament!

Our Under14 soccer team entered the Copa Coca Cola Tournament, which took place on Saturday, May 14th and May 15th, 2005. There were over 32 teams competing from throughout South Florida, including teams from Boca Raton and Naples. There were two separate tournaments going on, one for boys ages 13 – 15, and another for girls ages 13 – 15. We entered in the boys’ tournament and played three games on Saturday morning, at Amelia Earhart Park, winning two out of the three games and taking us to the second round.

Although the team lost in the second round, these boys played their hearts out and represented Sunny Isles Beach with a great deal of talent and ability, along with the skilled instruction and guidance by their coaches, Coach Sergio Vuguin, Asst. Coach Pablo Sierra and Asst. Coach Mario Betancur.
