Everyone Can Enjoy the Ocean

The City of Sunny Isles Beach purchased 2 water wheelchairs and a water walker so disabled people may enjoy the ocean.

These special beach items are available from the lifeguard stand located behind Samson Oceanfront Park at 17425 Collins Avenue. All you need to do is leave the lifeguard some form of identification, give him your full name, address and telephone number and then you can roll down to the shoreline and dip your toes in the salty sea water. Gene Sweed, was one of the first to try out our new acquisition as he was one of the proponents of the city purchasing these special wheelchairs
