Hurricane Preparedness – Those with Special Needs

Are you a resident who needs assistance with daily living, has medical needs or specialized transportation? If those living in your area have been told to evacuate, do you need a special place to go? And a ride to that place?

Miami-Dade County runs an Emergency Evacuation Program to assist those with special needs during times of evacuations. To be a part of this special program, you must pre-register by completing an application form. Get this done long before an evacuation order is given and you need this service.

To pre-register call the Miami-Dade County Call Center at 311 (305.468.5900) for an application.

Applications are also available online through the County’s website at www.miamidade.gov.
