City Attorney appointed to ethics task force
By Jasmine Barnes, Executive Assistant to the City Attorney
City Attorney Hans Ottinot was recently appointed to the Ethics Integrity and Accountability Task Force of the Miami-Dade Commission on Ethics. The Task force was created to make final recommendations to assist the Commission on Ethics in carrying out its mission. “It is an honor for me to serve on the Task Force,” said Ottinot. “It is clearly a reflection that I have been working with elected officials who are constantly working for the betterment of their community. I hope to bring an insight from a municipal attorney’s perspective to the Task Force.”
Among the individuals appointed to the Task Force is Former Supreme Court Chief Justice Gerald Kogan, Joe Centorino, Chief Prosecutor for the Public Corruption Unit for the State Attorney’s Office, Elizabeth Hernandez, City Attorney with the City of Coral Gables, and Cynthia Everett, City Attorney with the Village of Pinecrest.
