Treats, games, and wildlife
at Family Fun Fest
On Friday, June 15th, the city celebrated Family Fun Fest at Senator Gwen Margolis Park as part of the city’s 10th anniversary celebration. At 6:30pm, residents started strolling in and enjoying free food such as popcorn, cotton candy, and ice cream. The children enjoyed games with our field day gamemaster Johnathan, who led fun-filled activities such as tug-o-war, parachute games, and sack races. Later in the evening, everyone enjoyed getting up close and personal with wild animals, during an animal show presented by World of Wildlife.
We also announced the winners of the city’s “Design a T-Shirt” contest. In the K-5 grade bracket, the winner was Jessica Brady. In the 6-8 grade bracket, the winner was Valentino Leidi. And, Jennifer Cartagena won in the 9-12 grade bracket. Each winner received a special plaque with their framed artwork.
