Traffic and Safety Committee Report

The Traffic and Safety Committee has been meeting regularly since its inception and members have been working on the following projects:

• Finding ways to move traffic smoothly and safely.
• Insuring all cross walks are handicap friendly.
• Addressing the J-walking problem

Mainly we have been concentrating on the J-walking problem. J-walking is a very serious issue for our city because it is dangerous to pedestrians and can cause damage to median plantings. Working with the police department we have devised a program to help alleviate this problem.
