"One Great Big Thank You to All.."

Although I would love to have been able to write a personal thank-you note to each one of you that attended or had something to do in any way with the recognition luncheon at Trump Hotel, that is physically impossible. So I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you collectively for such a wonderful tribute.

I was reluctant in the beginning when Irving Diamond approached me, but I must tell you the tribute was moving. A heartfelt thank you to each and everyone of you for making it such a nice event.

A special thanks to Michael and Gil Dezer for hosting; Cliff Schulman for providing a lighter side to the entertainment revealing deep, dark secrets; and all those who made presentations. I was truly overwhelmed. And just to set the record straight, I mean absolutely straight, the City Manager was only KIDDING about securing a surplus helicopter for the department. It was a practical joke, CRUEL but FUNNY! Maybe after the next 5 years.
