With great sadness I announce the passing of Marion Samson, “The first lady of Sunny Isles Beach.”

Marion was 90 years old and a devoted wife to David Samson, late first mayor of Sunny Isles Beach. Mother to three children: Michael, the late Gilbert, and Stuart Samson; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

There is an old saying, “behind every great man, there is a woman.” Marion was that woman behind David Samson.

A woman of valor, loyalty and compassion for her husband, family and the city of Sunny Isles Beach.

May she rest in peace.
