Hurricane Preparedness

This is the time of the year when all those who may be in the path of a hurricane are urged to prepare. The City of Sunny Isles Beach provides a Hurricane Guidelines brochure that includes information such as:

- Tips on Preparing for person safety
- Shopping List
- Location of Miami-Dade County bus stops
- Location of the nearest Red Cross Shelters
- wha Telephone numbers for the Emergency Evacuation Assistance Program

These Hurricane Guidelines brochures are being distributed throughout the City, and are also available at the Information Center in the lobby of the Sunny Isles Beach Government Center, 18070 Collins Avenue.
Residents with special needs must pre-register
Residents who need assistance with daily living, medical needs, or specialized transportation must pre-register with the County’s Emergency Evacuation Assistance Program. Pre-registration involves completing an application.
Applications for the Emergency Evacuation Assistance Program are available:

- or for pick up at the Information Center in the lobby of the Sunny Isles Beach Government Center, 18070 Collins Avenue
