Sunny Isles Beach Police Department takes part in Publix Kids Fest


Kids who benefited from the Indent-A-Kid programs on Kids Fest Day at Publix pose with Store Manager and Police Employees of Sunny Isles Beach.On Saturday July 30, 2005, members of the Sunny Isles Beach Police Department participated in the semi-annual Kids Fest event at Publix Supermarket. Every Publix Supermarket hosts the Kids Fest event twice each year, and the Sunny Isles Beach Police Department takes part in the event by producing Kid Print cards that are given to the parents of children participating in this event.

Dan Varone of the Crime Scene Unit for Sunny Isles Beach prints a young man for his personal safety Ident-A-KitThe Kid Print card, created by the Sunny Isles Beach Police Department, is an up to date record of a child that includes a photograph of the child, as well as their fingerprints and personal data. The Kid Print card is then given to each parent as a safety feature for their child in the event of any emergency that could arise in the ongoing effort by the Sunny Isles Beach Police Department to protect children from predators. Employees attending Kids Fest are Civilian’s Sandra Block, Barbara Valera, and Danny Varone, Officer Steve Brenton, and overseen by Sergeant Don Reynolds.
