Police Department Employee Receives Recognition from State Attorney General…
By Chief Fred A. Maas
Recently, a letter of congratulations and recognition was received at the Sunny Isles Beach Police Department for Ms. Sandra Block, a civilian employee for the department who is assigned to support services for both Uniform Patrol and Investigative Division.
State of Florida Attorney General and Governor hopeful Charlie Crist, personally acknowledged the achievement of Ms. Block for having successfully completed the State’s Crime Prevention curriculum which was offered thru the Florida Crime Prevention Training Institute. As a result of her successful graduation from this program she is now recognized as a Florida Crime Prevention Practitioner.
The course study requires more than 120 hours at various levels of study and practicum, in order to receive this designation.
This certification benefits not only Ms. Block and the police department, but also you as citizens and business owners within Sunny Isles Beach because she can assist you with programs and crime prevention tips specially designed for your specific needs or to benefit an entire building.
We are very proud of our employees especially when they seek to better themselves and the city by taking on self-initiated work that extends their level of service to the community.
If you would like to discuss, arrange or learn more about crime prevention programs, tips or information, feel free to contact Sandra Block at (305) 792-1839 at the Sunny Isles Beach Police Department.
Congratulations Sandra! We are proud of your achievement and your letter from Mr. Crist.
