Mayor of Sunny Isles Beach congratulates commissioners-elect

On behalf of myself as Mayor of Sunny Isles Beach, Commissioners Roslyn Brezin and Gerry Goodman, we offer our heartiest congratulations to Vice Mayor Lewis J. Thaler on his re-election to your City Commission and George “Bud” Scholl on his election to your City Commission.

Both candidates ran unopposed in this important election. Vice Mayor Thaler was named in 2006 by the Florida League of Cities as a finalist for “Commissioner of the Year,” and George “Bud” Scholl was Chairman of the Sunny Isles Beach Charter Revision Committee in 2003. Bud presently serves as Chairman of the Sunny Isles Beach Historic Preservation Board.

Mr. Thaler and Mr. Scholl are hard working public servants, bringing to their office personal honesty, integrity, and dedication. Together, this commission will move this beautiful city forward into the future for the betterment of all our citizens.

The commissioners-elect will be sworn in at a special city commission meeting on Thursday, December 6, 2007 at 12:00 o’clock noon.
