Town Center Park Sculpture Dedication - September 27, 2006

Good evening everyone, and welcome to Sunny Isles Beach’s “Town Center Park.”

The grand opening and dedication of this beautiful park took place on October 20, 2005. Since the opening of this park, thousands of residents and families in South Florida have enjoyed the amenities, playground for children, exercise equipment, solitude, walkways and the beauty of the mangrove area.

Your city officials decided to add another dimension to the park by commissioning world renowned sculptor and artist Rafael Barrios Arias who has designed this modern work of art entitled “Rising Horizons.” Rafael Barrios is famous nationally and internationally, and accomplishes weightlessness, unique shapes, strength and magnetism in all his work.

At this time, I invite our city officials and the artist Mr. Rafael Barrios Arias to step forward to officially dedicate this sculpture and picture taking ceremony.
