Building Department Accommodates Needs of Customers

To meet the needs of the community, the Building Department has expanded the hours of operation for the Permitting and Licensing Counter.

Permitting and Licensing Counter open 7:30 a.m.
To meet the needs of contractors, the counter is now open an hour earlier Monday - Friday:

Permitting and Licensing Counter, Floor 3
Sunny Isles Beach Government Center
18070 Collins Avenue
Hours: 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Appointments available Tuesdays & Thursdays 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.
To accommodate citizens who cannot make it to the Permitting and Licensing Counter between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., permit and licensing clerks are available by appointment from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Forms soon available online
As many of our customers would prefer to complete the necessary documents prior to coming to the Permitting and Licensing Counter, the Building Department is in the process of making all of its forms available on-line. This project is currently under way and more information will be available shortly.
