SUNNY ISLES BEACH BUILDING DEPARTMENT AND THE COMMUNITY

In an effort to provide a higher level of customer service to the community, the City of Sunny Isles Beach’s Building Department has acquired two full time positions: Chief Electrical Inspector and Chief Plumbing Inspector.

It is with great pleasure that I introduce John Lindgren Jr., Chief Plumbing Inspector. Let me acquaint you with Mr. Lindgren’s work history. Since the age of 13, Mr. Lindgren has worked in the private sector. In 1978, he obtained his Master Plumbing License. In 1984, he acquired his Plans Examiner License and became an inspector. Mr. Lindgren has actively been working with the City of Sunny Isles Beach’s Building Department since the year 2000. He is an active member of the Florida Association of Plumbing, Gas and Mechanical Inspectors, Inc., and South Florida Building Officials Council. Meet your new Chief Plumbing Inspector:

It is also my pleasure to present Alan Kramen, Chief Electrical Inspector. Mr. Kramen has over 30 years of experience in the electrical field. Prior to coming onboard with our City, he worked with the City of Fort Lauderdale, the Florida Turnpike Development, and the U.S Air Force (Strategic Weapons Minute Man Missiles). Mr. Kramen holds a Master’s License since 1994 and an Electrical Plan’s Examiner License since 1999. He is an active member of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors. Needless to say, the Building Department with its two new acquisitions will provide greater customer service to the community. The turnaround time for permit approval and review has been dramatically reduced. Inspections for these two trades are being performed in the morning and afternoon. The citizens now can schedule inspections for anytime during the day. Both inspectors are also available until 9:00 a.m. everyday for questions, comments and suggestions.
