“I am proud to live in Sunny Isles Beach”
By Commissioner Roslyn Brezin
It’s truly a privilege to serve as Commissioner of Sunny Isles Beach. We’ve accomplished much – city bus transportation, our Government Center that houses a library and post office, city parks where we can enjoy Holidays and other celebrations, movie nights, children’s activities and more.
Watch channel 77 for information about theater and sports events tickets that are available through the Cultural & Human Services Department. Beach access with showers makes it convenient for everyone to enjoy the ocean.
When you say “I live in Sunny Isles Beach” – no longer will someone say “Where’s that?” We have come a long way as you can see when you visit “History Hall” created by Richard C. Schulman, City Historian, at the Government Center on the 1st floor. It depicts the changes and events from 1920’s to the present through beautiful framed pictures.
We still have much to be completed including a K through 8 public school plus an Active Park with a Community Center.
This is your government. What we do as leaders depends upon what our constituents need.
On October 17th, Sunny Isles Beach senior citizens were able to get their flu shots at City Hall. Thank you for your calls to my office expressing your appreciation for the service.
The Community Health and Activities Committee will have a talent show on January 8, 2006 at the Marco Polo Radisson Hotel (Chairman Spiro Colivas). If you would like to apply to be a participant in this show, applications are available at City Hall. We all look forward to attending this entertaining production.
Committee meetings are advertised on TV and in Sunny Isles Beach Sun (this) paper. It’s fun to take part. You can call me at 305.947.0606 and we will talk about them.
I am thankful to be part of the Sunny Isles Beach Commission for another four years.
We will join together and continue to make our city the “Florida Riviera”!
