Grants for Hurricane Protection Available – APPLY NOW!

To reduce hurricane damage to single-family, site-built, owner-occupied residential property, homeowners can apply for matching grants through the My Safe Florida Home Program administered by the Florida Department of Financial Services. The My Safe Florida Home Program offers free home inspections that will recommend specific retrofit improvements to site-built homes of eligible homeowners.

Eligible homeowners must have a homestead exemption and live in a home with an insured value of $500,000 or less.

Applications and additional information are available online at www.mysafefloridahome.com or by calling toll free 1-800-342-2762.

The application deadline is 5:00 p.m., Thursday, November 30, 2006.
