Welcome back to all the residents who call Sunny Isles Beach their home.

The month of August was a great month in the history of our city. Not only did we open our community center with an afternoon party on Saturday, August 23, but also the Sunny Isles Beach Community School was opened on Wednesday, August 20th (two days late because of tropical storm Fay). The school opened with more than 1,100 children, with few problems and most importantly - on time. The Principal, Dr. Annette Weissman, her staff, our police force and the city staff did a terrific job pulling it all together.

The community center registered to maximum capacity for the after school program and by the end of September other classes and programs will be in full swing for all the residents. Everyone should take a walk through the center and see your new little league field, the indoor basketball court and all the other amenities the center has to offer.
