To promote the City of Sunny Isles Beach, the City’s Administrative Services Department sponsors an annual photo contest. To qualify, a photograph must be of a scene taken in the city.
This year, contestants submitted more than 300 photographs. Many local residents entered the contest as well as visitors from Indianapolis, Indiana and Paris, France.
At the December 18, 2008 City Commission Meeting, the City revealed the winning photographs and Mayor Norman Edelcup recognized the winners of the 2009 Photo Contest by presenting each with a trophy. The winners are:

Winning images are featured in the City’s 2009 Calendar that is being distributed at the Sunny Isles Beach Government Center, 18070 Collins Avenue. The supply is limited and available on a first-come basis.
Start ‘clicking’ now for next year’s photo contest – pictures must be of a scene in the City of Sunny Isles Beach, in hi resolution and not ‘Photoshopped.’ The rules and deadline for next years photo contest will be published in the Sunny Isles Beach Sun Community Newspaper, on SIB TV Cable Channel 77 and on the City’s website: www.sibfl.net.
