Perhaps in Wall Street.
The Charging Bull, also referred to as the Wall Street Bull, is a 7,000 pound bronze sculpture created by Arturo Di Modica. The Bull is located in Bowling Street Park near Wall Street in New York City.
The sculpture represents a symbol of aggressive financial optimism and prosperity. The artist, Di Modica, spent around $360,000 of his own money to create the sculpture following the 1987 stock market crash. He wanted the bull to depict the strength and power of the American people, so he installed it in front of the New York Stock Exchange as a Christmas gift to the people of New York. The police seized and impounded the bull, but not for long. Due to public outrage, the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation relocated the sculpture to where it now stands.
Even as we are now facing a recession, we can look to the Charging Bull for hope that our country will once again take charge
