Just Another Day

'An original musical in two acts, prepared by the students of Drama Club
of Sunny Isles Beach Pelican Community Park and directed by Melissa Bouganim, Drama Club teacher.

On Wednesday, May 20, 2009, many students of Sunny Isles Beach Community School during their Afterschool Program at Pelican Community Park, their parents and siblings, came to watch this musical presentation. They were entertained by such characters as ‘Princess’, ‘Cheerleader’, ‘Drama Queen’, ‘Teacher’, Popular Girl’ and ‘Wannabe’. They learned how it felt being young & going to school, figuring out how to deal with various personalities & living to see Just Another Day!

City Officials, Mayor Norman S. Edelcup, Vice Mayor Lewis J. Thaler, Commissioner Roslyn Brezin, and City Historian Richard C. Schulman, also attended and enjoyed this Final Showcase prepared by the students of Drama Club of Pelican Community Park.

The show was a great success. And it was hard to say who enjoyed the performance more: the actors or the audience. At the end of the event, all participants were awarded with the Drama Club Certificates and were treated to their favorite chocolate cake and cookies.
