Visitor Center Holds Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

The City of Sunny Isles Beach and the Sunny Isles Beach Resort Association held the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the new Sunny Isles Beach Visitor Center on Thursday, May 14, 2009 during National Travel and Tourism Week. City officials, commissioners, and residents joined Mayor Norman Edelcup, Vice Mayor Lewis J. Thaler, City Manager Rick Conner, and Commissioner Roslyn Brezin for the ribbon cutting ceremony and the unveiling of the Visitor Center. Epicure Marketplace catered the event and provided breakfast pastries, coffee, and juice for all in attendance.

The new Visitor Center is located on the first floor of the Sunny Isles Beach Government Center, 18070 Collins Avenue and will be open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Center offers tourists extensive information on where to eat, places to shop, activities available in Sunny Isles Beach and around South Florida, and can help answer any questions. To remember their stay in the city visitors can purchase stylish Sunny Isles Beach memorabilia ranging from t-shirts, beach towels, post cards, and posters. Go Miami Cards, which provides entry to over 35 attractions in Miami for one low price, are also available for sale.
