The first teen event, Beach Bash was a great success, on Saturday, June 20th, 2009 from 3:00-7:00p.m.
The city has been searching for ways to provide activities for the heavy concentration of teens around the city due to more families moving to Sunny Isles Beach.
The schedule of activities was planned out by our Teen Advisory Group. Several meetings were held to discuss what their friends and classmates would enjoy, as well as meet and make new friends.
Luckily the weather was beautiful and sunny so teens from all over the city got together to eat, dance, throw water balloons, play soccer and football, and swim at the beach.
The Department of Cultural and Human Services and our Teen Advisory Group is hoping to reach out to all the teens and get some feedback on activities they would like us to create for the rest of the year. For suggestions or more information, please contact the CHS Department at 305.792.1706.
