The Cultural & Human Services department hosts events throughout the year, many of which are free. Here you will find a listing of the upcoming events, and any important information you should know in order to attend.
Community Blood Centers of South Florida, Blood Drive, December 17th, 2009 – FREE
Noon - 5:00pm, Sunny Isles Beach Gov’t Center, First Floor Meeting Room (18070 Collins Avenue)
Looking for a way to give back to the community? Want to help in some way that doesn’t involve spending money? Then come to City Hall and donate blood, and help save lives. Reservations are not required, but you can sign up ahead of time by calling 305.792.1706.
Family Movie Night, January 9th, 2010 – FREE
7:00pm, Town Center Park (17200 Collins Avenue)
Enjoy a movie under the stars with family and friends. Games & activities for the children prior to movie. Food is available for purchase. Bring your own chair or blanket. Reservations are not required. To find out the movie title, call 305.792.1759.
Golden Era Film Series, January 12th, 2010 – FREE
10:00am – 12:00pm, Sunny Isles Beach Government Center, 1st Floor Meeting Room (18070 Collins Avenue)
Come with friends and neighbors and enjoy a Golden Era classic film. Some previous showings include It’s A Wonderful Life, Viva Las Vegas, and Breakfast at Tiffany’s. To find out this month’s feature film, contact us at 305.792.1706. This event is free, but you must call ahead to reserve your seat.
Four Seasons Concert, January 20th, 2010
7:30 – 9:00pm, Sunny Isles Beach Gov’t Center, Commission Chambers (18070 Collins Avenue)
This concert series will be presented quarterly to help make classical music accessible for all ages in our community. This second installment of the series will present the University of Miami Frost School of Music Studio Band. Tickets will be available for purchase at the Pelican Community Park, Community Center. Ticket price is $10.00 for residents, $20 for non-residents. (Series pricing available for 3 concerts.) Space is limited so register early!
