Christmas Tree Pickup

Curb your Christmas Tree

Starting January 7, 2010 Sunny Isles Beach residents can leave their used natural Christmas Trees on the curb to be picked up by the Miami-Dade Department of Solid Waste Management (DSWM).

Trees must be without lights, tinsel, or ornaments and will be recycled into mulch for area residents. The mulch will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. DSWM will not pick up trees with tinsel, lights or ornaments.

Anyone living in unincorporated Miami-Dade County and people living in Aventura, Cutler Bay, Doral, Miami Gardens, Miami Lakes, Palmetto Bay, Pinecrest, Sunny Isles, and Sweetwater are eligible to participate in the clean-up.

Now through January 17, residents served by the DSWM can also take their trees to one of 13 neighborhood trash and recycling centers or the South Dade landfill. Unless otherwise indicated, these locations are open daily between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.:
