On Saturday, December 12, 2009; local residents and city officials enjoyed a performance of the recently formed Sunny Isles Beach Orchestra “Joy Factory” at Winston Towers 300. The newly created jazz-band group is made up of local residents. They performed live and, with obvious enthusiasm many American, Latin, and European hits. It was a lovely evening of music experienced by many in the community including Mayor Norman S. Edelcup and members of the City Commission.

In preparation for this event, band members spent hours practicing to perfect their show. While many people contributed to the success of the evening, special thanks go to: Michael Schnitzer who provided a rehearsal space; Eugene Muchnik, guitarist & Musical Director; Mark Kanevsky, percussionist and Administrative Director; and Chanan Shapiro promoter & event organizer.
