The Cultural & Human Services department hosts events throughout the year, many of which are free. Here you will find a listing of the upcoming events, and any important information you should know in order to attend.

Bingo, March 3rd, 2010 – FREE
2:00pm, Sunny Isles Beach Gov’t Center, Commission Chambers (18070 Collins Avenue)
Come with friends and neighbors and enjoy some friendly games of bingo. Small prizes will be awarded to winners. Participation is free but call ahead to reserve your seat (305.792.1706).

Family Movie Night, March 6th, 2010 – FREE
7:00pm, Town Center Park (17200 Collins Avenue)
Enjoy “Arctic Tale” under the stars with family and friends. Activities for the children prior to movie. Food is available for purchase. Bring your own chair or blanket. Reservations are not required. For more details, call 305.792.1706.

Four Seasons Cultural Series, March 10th, 2010 – An Evening of Russian Opera
7:00 – 9:00pm, Sunny Isles Beach Community School Auditorium
This cultural series will be presented quarterly to help make classical arts accessible for all ages in our community. This third installment of the series, in partnership with Florida International University, will present “An Evening of Russian Opera” with the Singers of The Lyric Orchestra. Tickets will be available for purchase at the Pelican Community Park, Community Center. Ticket price is $10.00 for residents, $15 for non-residents. Space is limited so register early! 

“In the Heights,” March 16th 2010
In the Heights tells the universal story of a vibrant community in Manhattan’s Washington Heights. Seats in Upper Orchestra Left, Rows AA-DD. Minimal walking required. The City Shuttle Bus departs City Hall at 7:00 pm to the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Cost is $56 for residents and $61 for non-residents and includes round-trip transportation to the theatre.
