As many city residents may know, the City of Sunny Isles Beach brings MiniFlow Florida Licensing on Wheels service to our city on a Friday every other month.
In the past few years hundreds of residents, both full-time and seasonal, used this service to renew their driver licenses and photo ID cards without having to travel out of town to the DMV office.
MiniFlow - the Florida Driver License and Photo ID renewal service is provided by Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.
MiniFLow is designed to provide convenient mobile service to such high profile locations as office complexes, schools, hospitals, resort sites, and other areas where a concentrated number of customers are located. On a scheduled date, two compact portable stations are rolled into a facility and set up as a complete driver license renewal office.
The following services are available through MiniFlow:
- Driver License - RENEWAL, Fee $48.
Documents Required: Current/Expired License. For US citizens - Original Birth Certificate, Passport or SS card.
NOTE: Additional fee of $15 is due for late renewal of expired license.
- Driver License - REPLACEMENT, Fee $25.
Documents Required: Current Driver License.
- ID Card – Original, Renewal or Replacement, Fee $25.
Documents Required: for US citizens: Original Birth Certificate/Passport/SS Card. For non-US citizens: Original INS documents.
- CDL License – RENEWAL, Fee $75.
- STOLEN Driver License or ID card, Fee: $25, or Free with a Police Report stating it’s stolen (not just lost).
Please note:
* No driving tests are available through this mobile service.
* Pictures are taken during the renewal service.
* Proof of residency is required for all services.
* Payment accepted: cash, checks, credit cards - MasterCard or Discover only.
Below are checklists for document options required for various types of renewals:
- IDENTIFICATION
Bring one
□ Certified U.S. birth certificate
□ Valid U.S. passport
□ Certificate of naturalization
□ Consular proof of birth abroad
□ Alien registration receipt card (green card, form 1-551)
NAME CHANGE (if applicable)
□ Original or certified copy of all marriage certificates or court orders that show your name change (uncertified photocopies are not valid)
- SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER
Bring one
□ Social Security card
□ W-2 form
□ Pay check showing number
□ Any 1099 form (if no card issued)
- RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS (not post office box)
Bring two:
□ Deed, mortgage, payment booklet, or rental agreement
□ Florida vehicle registration or title
□ Utility bill
