More than 3,500 residents visited Samson Park for the City’s 13th Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, June 13th, 2010 from 12:00 to 4:00 pm.
From the gigantic Saber Tooth Tiger Slide and Coconut Tree Climbers in Samson Park to the Safari Beach Bus and Safari Wonderland Bounce House on the beach, the Safari theme was dominant throughout the event. Animal Ambassadors including parrots, skunks and baby alligators and dragons from Jungle Island greeted guests. Kodak pictures was there to capture the moment for our residents.
Beachside there was thunder on the water with the 3rd Annual Sunny Isles Beach Offshore Powerboat Challenge. The weather was perfect for a day of races by the beach.
Residents danced to the live music by Raye Stevens Entertainment.
Shorty’s BBQ provided the food with one plate for each resident. Mayor Norman S. Edelcup and City Commissioners hosted the annual cake cutting ceremony for the grand finale.
The City of Sunny Isles Beach would like to thank this year’s event sponsors including: TD Bank, Costco, Epicure and the Aventura/Sunny Isles Beach Chamber of Commerce.
