On Saturday, June 19, TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank®, marked the opening of its newest South Florida store, at 16830 Collins Avenue in Sunny Isles Beach, Fla. with a street fair celebration that featured free food and refreshments, exciting games and prizes, and many kids’ attractions.
The TD Charitable Foundation, the bank’s charitable giving arm, also presented a $5,000 donation to Ayuda, Inc., a community-based non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the lives of children and families who are underserved or at risk in Miami-Dade County.
Many local residents attended the street fair. The grand opening also featured the unveiling of the wall mural that will be on permanent display in the store. The mural depicts a 1964 view of A1A looking east from Atlantic Avenue and 163rd Street. The view includes Scotty’s Drive-In restaurant on Collins Avenue and the famous Castaways, the largest oceanfront resort motel in Miami Beach at the time.
