As Chairman of the City Advisory Committee I am proud of the accomplishments of the various subcommittees and I would like to thank:

Tony LoCastro, my Vice-Chairperson, along with his subcommittee members for creating and being the mediator for the successful and productive Condominium “Presidents and Building Managers” meetings.

Bob Caplan, Chairperson of the Cultural Fine Arts and Enrichment Sub-Committee, along with the hard work of David Gartner, Dennis Stubbolo and Sheila Caplan for their efforts for in planning for a cultural fine arts media center.

Bob Mincow, Chairperson of the Planning, Beautification and Technical Matters Sub-Committee, along with the expertise of Ron Starkman for developing the ground work for electric car charging stations in our city.

Anh Kaul, Chairperson of Senior Citizen’s Welfare Sub-Committee, for helping to develop the free telephone event for the hearing and/or speech impaired.  This event will take place on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 from 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.  These telephones will be given away free of charge to anyone that has a hearing aid or has a letter from their health provider attesting to their need for this free phone.

Loretta Mufson, Chairperson of the Youth Advocacy Group, along with Marianna Talalaevsky, for their dedicated endeavors for the teenagers in our city.

Claire Lipson, Chairperson of the Tourism and Development Sub-Committee, along with her subcommittee members, for the Sunny Isles Beach “Wedding Dress” project.

Steve Trattner, Chairperson Traffic and Safety Subcommittee, for all his efforts involving public safety information and for bring these issues to the attention of our city manager Rick Conner.

Also, a thanks to Isaac Aelion, Chairperson of the Capital Projects Subcommittee for all his efforts regarding advanced projects for the City.

And special thank you to our Mayor Edelcup, Commissioners and the City Manager for listening and accepting our ideas and plans.
