Summer Camp

During summer vacation, the City offers several camp options for children ranging in age from 3 to 16 years old. See Summer Camp Brochure

Various camps are in session Monday, June 8 – Friday, August 21, 2009. All the camp schedules are listed below..

Registration Information
2009 Registration forms are available at Pelican Community Park or download one here (pdf) . In order to view the file, you should download Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Completed forms and fees are required to hold your reservation. Once the camp reaches full capacity, a waiting list is formed.


Online Registration
Online Registration is available for residents who plan to pay summer camp fees in full up front. Please click on the link below and you will be re-directed to the online registration site. You will be prompted to create a new account, where you will enter your information. Your account WILL NOT be confirmed until you bring proof of residency to the Cultural & Human Services office at Pelican Community Park. The only acceptable proof of residency is a utility bill (i.e. phone, cable, electric). Once we receive proof of residency, we will confirm your account and activate it. Then, you can return to the site starting April 18th, and register your child for Summer Camp 2009. REMEMBER THAT YOU MUST BE A RESIDENT AND PAY FEES IN FULL IN ORDER TO REGISTER ONLINE!!!

Financial Assistance
Financial assistance with camp fees is available. To be considered for financial assistance, you must be a Sunny Isles Beach resident and your total household annual income must be less than $40,000. If you meet these requirements and are interested in applying, you must fill out an application (available at the Government Center or download here) and return, along with a copy of your 2008 IRS income tax return by April 25th to the Cultural & Human Services Department at Pelican Community Park (Attn: Sylvia Flores).
