NEAT STREETS MIAMI GRANT:
The Neat Streets Grant provides funds for municipalities and organizations in Miami-Dade County to plant trees. This year, the City of Sunny Isles Beach was awarded a $14,000 grant.
TREE PLANTING LOCATION:
49 trees will be planted along Atlantic Boulevard at 181st Street north to North Bay Road, and on 172nd Street just west of Collins Avenue.
To provide a safer and enhanced pedestrian route as an option to Collins Avenue, improve the sidewalk experience, increase shade, lower sun exposure, and improve transportation.
This is the second phase of the City’s Tree Planting project. Tree installation will begin approximately at the end of May 2018 with a July 27, 2018 anticipated completion date.
