Curfew in Effect for Sunny Isles Beach: 8pm – 6am

Tuesday, September 12, 2017 —

As our residents return to their homes many are still without power. FPL continues to work in Sunny Isles Beach to restore power to all of our residents. Please note that as FPL continues to re-store power, there may be a time where they have to cut off power to certain lines while they erect poles. If you have power and it gets shut off, know that it is only temporarily.

Because we still have downed power lines being worked on and traffic lights that are not working, we will be issuing a curfew tonight, beginning at 8:00pm through tomorrow morning at 6:00am. If you try to re-enter the city during curfew hours, you will need to present a valid Sunny Isles Beach identification card for re-entry. A Driver’s License that lists your Sunny Isles Beach address is sufficient. This is for the safety of everyone.

We thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult time.
