The Pelican Community Park Playground will be closed all day on Saturday, April 20 for maintenance
The Senator Gwen Margolis Park Soccer Field will be closed for renovations until further notice.
The Government Center entrance from Collins Avenue will be closed starting Monday, April 15 until further notice.
The historic interior bridge in Atlantic Isle will be closed for restoration work on Friday, April 12 from 8 AM – 4 PM.
The Newport Fishing Pier and Pier Parking lot will be closed until 2 PM on Sunday, April 14 for Casting with a Cop event. The Pier Parking lot will be closed starting Saturday, April 13 at 11 PM.

To report overhanging trees and other obstructions on public property, call the City’s Public Works Department at 305.792.1711.

Does the City prohibit me from planting certain trees?

Yes, the City prohibits trees that are listed as invasive species on the Department of Environmental Resources List. To identify trees on your property or for a list of trees that are allowed in the City, please contact the Planning and Zoning Department at 305.792.1705.
