Summer Care

Summer Care Update:

(Monday, June 29, 2020)

We had been working very hard to get a summer program up and running that would follow all CDC guidelines and provide minimal risk to participants and staff. Unfortunately, with the recent spike in positive case numbers, we are very concerned about the increased risk in any program setting to the participants, and families that would enroll.

Therefore, although this was an extremely difficult decision, we have decided to put a hold on proceeding with any new programming (including the summer care programs advertised last week). This includes the full-day general program, the half-day sports program, and the half-day art program.

We have all of your lottery forms and information, and we will continue to monitor the situation closely. If the situation improves, and we decide to proceed with a summer care program, we will notify you immediately.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Summer Camp as it was originally intended will not be taking place this summer. Instead, the City of Sunny Isles Beach Cultural & Community Services Department has evaluated the safety guidelines put in place by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) in order to provide a modified child care program while keeping health and safety a top priority.

Due to limited capacity and demand, Summer Care will ONLY be open to current SIB Resident ID Cardholders and registration will operate via a lottery system. Please review the below information for details on how to submit your lottery entry.
