The Pelican Community Park Playground will be closed all day on Saturday, April 20 for maintenance
The Senator Gwen Margolis Park Soccer Field will be closed for renovations until further notice.
The Government Center entrance from Collins Avenue will be closed starting Monday, April 15 until further notice.
The historic interior bridge in Atlantic Isle will be closed for restoration work on Friday, April 12 from 8 AM – 4 PM.
The Newport Fishing Pier and Pier Parking lot will be closed until 2 PM on Sunday, April 14 for Casting with a Cop event. The Pier Parking lot will be closed starting Saturday, April 13 at 11 PM.

Utility Line Undergrounding Project

Location: Collins Avenue Corridor, Other Areas

Description: City-wide undergrounding of FPL and other overhead utility lines and equipment, installation of decorative street lighting and the removal of utility poles. The undergrounding of overhead utility lines on FPL poles will minimize power outages due to extreme windstorm and hurricane conditions and improve the aesthetics of the City. Most of the existing poles and streetlights do not conform to the city’s streetscape plan.
